Rates & Insurance
Self-Pay Rates
We offer a 20% discount on all self-pay services when payment is made in full at the time of service. To receive this discount, patients are required to sign a self-pay waiver. For telehealth appointments or situations when you are not present in the office on the day of service, we recommend keeping a credit card on file so payment can be processed promptly, ensuring you receive the self-pay discount.
Self-pay pricing for psychiatric services is based on the type of services provided during your appointment. Our psychiatrists tailor each visit to your individual needs, which may include evaluation, medication management, and, when clinically appropriate, brief therapeutic interventions during the same visit. As a result, the cost of psychiatric appointments may vary depending on the services rendered.
Self-pay pricing for therapy services is based on the length of the session. Appointment fees are determined by time spent with the therapist, as reflected in the pricing scale below. If you have any questions about self-pay pricing or which service best fits your needs, please do not hesitate to contact our office for additional information.

Insurance
As a courtesy, our office completes a benefits investigation prior to your evaluation. While we make every effort to obtain accurate and up-to-date information, insurance companies do not guarantee benefits provided over the phone or through online portals. For this reason, we are unable to guarantee coverage, benefits, or out-of-pocket costs.
We strongly encourage patients to contact their insurance company directly to confirm benefits and coverage details.
Our office bills under the name Susquehanna Valley Professional Associates.
When contacting your insurance company, please verify network participation under this billing name rather than by individual provider.
When calling your insurance carrier, we recommend asking the following:
- Do I have behavioral health benefits?
- Is there a difference in coverage between appointments with a psychiatrist versus a psychologist or therapist?
- Is there a limit or cap on the number of behavioral health visits covered per year?
- Are behavioral health visits covered by a copay, or do they apply toward my deductible and coinsurance?
If subject to a deductible and coinsurance:
- What is my deductible?
- What is my coinsurance responsibility?
- How much of my deductible has already been met?
- Highmark
- Capital Blue Cross
- Blue Cross Blue Shield
- Medicare
- Aetna
- UPMC
- Geisinger
- United Healthcare (UHC)
- Community Care Behavioral Health (managed care plans) for North Central, Blair and Lycoming areas
We also work with a number of other private plans not listed above. Insurance paneling is done on an individual basis. Please contact your insurance company to confirm the provider you are scheduled with is participating prior to your visit.
Please call if you have any questions regarding your type of insurance.
